Vaiśampāyana said: On the orders of King Dhṛtarāṣṭra and those of Śāntanu's son, they lived in Indraprastha and brought under their rule many kings.

All the people lived happily in Dharmarāja's refuge, like souls in bodies that have auspicious marks and perform deeds.

They looked like bodies on earth, as if they were the fourth of the desires of religion, wealth and desires. It was as if dharma, artha and kāmā had become personified on earth and with them, the king became like a fourth.

Through their great energy, all the Pāṇḍava-s lived happily, devoid of distress, pacifying all the kings.

वासुदेव ने उत्तर दिया: "हे कुंती पुत्र! हे पृथा पुत्र! यही मेरी भी इच्छा है। जब तक हमारी इच्छा हो, हम अपने मित्रों के साथ जल में क्रीड़ा करें।"

उन्होंने उस स्थान में प्रवेश किया जो अनेक शुद्ध एवं उज्जवल रत्नों से भरा हुआ था। हे भरत वंश के वंशज! वे सभी अपनी इच्छानुसार खेल-कूद करने लगे।
Some women sported in the woods, others in the water and some others in the houses, wherever it pleased Kṛṣṇā and Pārtha.

While this was going on, the descendants of Kuru and Dāśārha went to a beautiful region that was not far off.
